The 48-year-old man said he wanted the boy to have a sexual experience, to lose his virginity, according to DeKalb County police.
Kent Evans now faces charges of enticing a child and pandering after allegedly taking the 14-year-old to a prostitute at Econo Lodge off Evans Mill Road near Lithonia.
Officers were called to the hotel Friday at 2:22 a.m. and spoke with the boy, the woman and Evans, a police report released Tuesday said.
Police learned Evans had asked the woman to perform oral sex on the teen and then left to find some crack cocaine to pay for the service, the report said. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution isn’t saying how the man and boy know each other to protect the child’s identity.

According to the report, Evans told police he wanted the boy to have a sexual “experience.”
The boy and woman said nothing went on between them when first asked. The teen later said the sex act had happened, police said.
The woman hasn’t been charged.
Asked why, Maj. Stephen Fore of DeKalb police said the investigation is ongoing and charges could come after an interview with the teen.
Evans was released Sunday on $2,000 bond.
