A police report sheds light on what led a man to allegedly threaten to “kill everyone” at the Marietta church he attended.
Ken Ogbemudia, 42, remained in Cobb County jail Tuesday without bond on a felony charge of making terroristic threats, records show.
The report said he felt disrespected by fellow parishioners of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Heaven's Gate and threatened to shoot up the church.
Churchgoers and the pastor were scared to the point of canceling Bible study last week, according to the report, which did not include information on why Ogbemudia felt wronged.

The pastor came to the Marietta Police Department lobby at 9 p.m. on Wednesday to report that Ogbemudia had been calling parishioners with threats, officers wrote.
Ogbemudia, of Kennesaw, first came to the church in early 2017, the pastor said, but his behavior started to change in November. He became “disruptive and combative with people in the congregation,” according to the report.
The pastor said Ogbemudia had been asked several times to leave the property.

On New Year’s Day, the pastor said Ogbemudia told her that he’d wait until there were many people inside and “spray the church” with AK-47s and kill everyone, according to the report.
The next day, several churchgoers told the pastor about Ogbemudia’s threats, including that “doom was looming” and death was coming soon, the report said.
The pastor told cops that Ogbemudia indicated he wasn’t afraid to go to jail nor be killed by police.
Ogbemudia also said he had two AK-47s and 600 rounds of ammunition.
His girlfriend claimed that she had bought the guns and ammo for him without knowing why he wanted them, and only found out his intentions after (the threats were made), the report said. She said she tried to return them after finding out.
She was not available for comment Tuesday.

Ogbemudia was taken to Kennestone Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation before being booked into jail Friday morning.
He told authorities that he came to the United States from Nigeria in 2011 and is in the country illegally.
According to its website, the church was founded in Nigeria in 1952 and now has thousands of parishes across the world, including several in metro Atlanta.
Ogbemudia’s next court date was not listed online.
