Construction for the city of East Point’s new City Hall building is officially underway. Demolition of the old fire station on East Point Street began earlier this month. The new 32,130 square foot City Hall will be located in the heart of downtown East Point at the corner of East Point Street and West Cleveland Avenue. It will include city offices, a multi-purpose City Council Chamber, and an additional 2,424 square feet of shell space for future growth expansion.
East Point’s newly constructed City Hall will serve as a catalyst for economic growth in the downtown area. Construction is scheduled to be complete by the end of 2018.
