Cobb County schools has rescheduled a weekend exam amid the prospect of snow heading for metro Atlanta.

The district postponed the Magnet program admissions exam 160 students were slated to take “due to the potential for inclement weather Friday night and Saturday morning ,” said Donna Lowry, district spokeswoman.

The exam students take in order to qualify for the county Magnet program was scheduled to last from 8 -11:30 a.m. The new date of the exam is Jan. 14.

Word is that the area should expect 3 inches of snow.

The school system planned to give an update at the end of the day Thursday with weather-related plans.
