Two men were indicted Thursday more than a year after Cobb County police claim they found 15 pounds of cocaine in their car.

Ever Bellon-Madujano of Norcross and Alejandro Renteria-Blanco, of Atlanta, were both indicted on two charges of drug trafficking, according to court records.

Police were watching the men May 30, 2015 when they allegedly transferred drugs between two cars stopped in the 2200 block of Cobb Parkway, according to a warrant.

Officers said they found more than 15 pounds of cocaine and $5,000 before arresting the men.

Renteria-Blanco’s warrant originally said that he presented officers a fake Mexican passport when he was arrested.

After the arrest, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers got involved in Bellon-Madujano’s case.
