If it seemed like Marietta had more people wearing fake ears or in skin-tight get-ups than normal this weekend, it wasn't your imagination.

Cobb Galleria hosted Anime Weekend Atlanta, a four-day convention celebrating Japanese animation (anime), comics (mange) and costume play (cosplay).

The gathering started in 1995 and drew an estimated 20,000 people in 2014, according to the event's website.
