The Atlanta Police Department is urging people to stay off icy roads after it worked 93 traffic accidents between midnight and 11:10 a.m. Wednesday.

Seven of the accidents involved injuries, including a case where an unidentified female APD officer was struck by a car Wednesday morning on the ice-slicked roads near Lenox Square mall.

If people need to go out, an APD spokesman suggested they “take it easy and slow down.”

A spokeswoman noted four “impassable” areas with icy roads:

· Browns Mill Road from Cleveland Avenue to Southside Industrial Parkway

· The intersection of Forest Park Road and Constitution Road

· McDaniel Street in southwest Atlanta

· The intersection of Fulton Street and Whitehall Street
