A 30-year-old Atlanta man has been sentenced to two years and nine months in federal prison for unlawfully possessing a sawed-off shotgun.
Edward Tororis Carter sold seven firearms to an undercover federal agent, a Department of Justice news release said Wednesday.
Carter, who pleaded guilty, was convicted on the charges in December.

Agents bought the guns from Carter during a federal investigation of a convicted felon in 2014, according to the agency. The sawed-off shotgun was 25 inches long with a barrel length of 12 inches.
During the sale, Carter said the shotgun was “ready to go,” the news release said.
His sentence is to be followed by three years of supervised release.
