Dunwoody, a potential site of several inches of snow over the weekend, is prepping for the worst.

The city has equipment staged and ready and plans to have its full public works staff available 24 hours to respond, said spokesman Bob Mullen.

“The city is closely monitoring all the winter weather forecasts,” he said Thursday.

Forecasters by Thursday afternoon were calling for more than 3 inches of snow, with the brunt coming for north of Atlanta. The Georgia Emergency Management Agency warned people to prepare to stay at home for at least three days.
