Ready for another piece of vaguely informational reading with poor attempts at humor? I know I am!

Reader Rita recently asked: "What are they building around Sugarloaf Mills?"

Fabulous question, Rita. The answer: A really big apartment complex.

Yay, apartments! Can't tell if you're being sarcastic, Rita, but I'll give you more details anyway. The development, dubbed "Sugarloaf Summit," is going up at 1887 Duluth Highway in Lawrenceville, a location that's just across a parking lot from the mall (and Medieval Times, to be specific).

Haven't tracked down any renderings, but the complex will ultimately look something like this, according to an amateurish website screengrab:

The overall site plan looks like this:

According to original planning documents, the 17-acre property will include a dozen buildings, 374 apartments and lots of parking spaces. The complex's website lists one-, two- and three-bedroom floorplans with rents ranging from $1,125 to $1,650. Amenities will include a pool and clubhouse, a concierge (whatever that means, exactly) and a 24-hour gym.

An exact completion date isn't clear at the moment, but the website says its "pre-leasing for fall 2016."

So start packing your stuff soon, dear Rita.
