DeKalb County roads were perilous after snow fell Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

The 911 center reports it took 257 calls about auto accidents, including 9 hit-and-runs, between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 5 p.m. Wednesday.

There were 270 other traffic-related calls. That includes abandoned vehicles, hazards, stalled vehicles and so on.

One of the incidents involved a MARTA bus skidding off Panthersville Road. Another shut down Buford Highway in Doraville during afternoon rush hour as power lines fell over the road.

Officials expected the roads to re-freeze overnight, which could cause more issues Thursday.
