Fulton County is doing its part to make the Monday commute just a smidgen more tolerable.

Downtown offices within two miles of Mercedes-Benz Stadium, where Georgia will play Alabama in the college football national championship game Monday, will close at 3 p.m. Those include Fulton County courts, the county government center, Department of Public Health locations at Neighborhood Union and 10 Park Place, and four library branches: Central, Mechanicsville, Auburn Avenue and Washington Park. Any other downtown offices will also close.

In addition to an expected influx of people due to the game, the county cited the presidential motorcade — President Donald Trump will attend the game — as well as expected stormy weather as reasons to clear the streets.

County facilities outside of downtown will remain open normal hours.
