Atlanta Streetcar service was suspended for a second day on Friday as crews continued work to repair a sinkhole on Edgewood Avenue.

City officials announced Thursday that they were shutting down the Streetcar because of the sinkhole, which is in the eastbound lane of Edgewood between Jesse Hill Drive and Bell Street.

They had expected the service to be up and running Friday morning, but problems persisted in completing the repairs.

The city is using shuttle buses to move passengers between the Streetcar’s 12 stops.

Stay tuned for updates.
