Here’s more information to help families navigate the Clayton school system.

Superintendent: Luvenia W. Jackson

The Clayton County Board of Education appointed Jackson superintendent in 2014.

Jackson came up through the ranks, serving Clayton schools in various positions for more than 30 years. She has held positions from teacher, assistant principal, principal, and assistant superintendent and other administrative positions, where she brought innovative changes.

First day of school: Aug. 8. There will be a back-to-school resource fair Saturday, Aug. 6, from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at 2260 Old Rex Morrow Road. Eligible students must pre-register for this event to determine eligibility for free uniforms and school supplies. Call 770-473-3250 to schedule an appointment for registration.
