Gwinnett County school cracks down on students ordering meals from UberEATS
Uber prides itself on being accessible to everyone, but one Georgia school says there are limits.
Gwinnett County’s Peachtree Ridge High School last week reminded students and parents that ordering meals at school from UberEATS violates school policy.
“We have had an increased number of students ordering food from Uber Eats to be delivered to PRHS during the school day,” the school noted on its website. “Please be reminded of our food delivery policy, which includes Uber Eats. Students ordering food through Uber Eats (in violation of our policy) may face disciplinary consequences.”
School district officials explained it’s a safety issue to have visitors on campus who do not have a purpose visiting the school.
Emails to Uber and UberEATS for comment did not get a response.
