The first semester of Gwinnett County Public Schools’ 2016-17 academic year is in the books but there are still plenty of important dates for the remainder of the school year, including the seasonal/holiday breaks, teacher workdays, early release days, make-up days and the last day of school.

Here are some key dates for Gwinnett parents to know:

  • Winter break will begin Dec. 22 and kids go back to school for the start of second semester Jan. 5.
  • Spring break will be April 3-7.
  • The last day of the 2016-17 school year will be May 24.
