School will begin for the DeKalb County School District on Aug. 7.

District officials released a schedule including vacations and holidays for students across the school year, including the last day of school, May 24. The graduation schedule is not yet available.

July 31-Aug. 4, 2017: Teacher preplanning

Aug. 7, 2017: First day of school

Sept. 4, 2017: Labor Day

Oct. 5-9, 2017: Fall Break (Including Columbus Day)

Nov. 7, 2017: Election Day/Teacher Workday

Nov. 20-24, 2017: Thanksgiving Break

Dec. 21, 2017: Winter Break begins

Jan 4, 2018: Second semester begins

Jan. 15, 2018: Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Feb. 16-19, 2018: February Break (Including President’s Day, inclement weather day)

March 9, 2018: Professional Learning Day

April 2-6, 2018: Spring Break

May 24, 2018: Last day of school
