Cobb County students will stay out of the classrooms another day as the county recovers from a weekend winter storm.

The school system made the announcement at 6:20 p.m. Monday that they were canceling classes on Tuesday.

Central office staff and principals are expected to report to work at 10 a.m. "if their routes are safe," Cobb school officials said in a press release.

A winter storm was expected to bring 4 inches of snow to the area but only brought hazardous, icy roads to Cobb.

Neighboring Cherokee County also canceled classes Tuesday along with Paulding County Schools.

But Marietta students will head back to school Tuesday; like Cobb they were also out Monday.

Channel 2's Audrey Washington reports.
