Clayton County Public Schools will be holding on-site interviews Thursday to find certified teachers for the 2017-2018 school year.

The event will be from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Mundy’s Mill High School, 9652 Fayetteville Road in Jonesboro.

District officials say they have more than 300 teacher vacancies to fill with about six weeks until the first day of school. The district also recently hired Morcease Beasley as its new superintendent. The former DeKalb County School District employee was hired by Clayton County Public Schools last summer as its chief improvement officer.
