How to know your penalty if you don’t buy insurance

It’s open enrollment for the Affordable Care Act’s health insurance plans, and for a lot of private plans to boot.  With premiums skyrocketing in many places, some are wondering whether to buy at all.

But it’s still mandatory.  Those who don’t get insured risk paying a penalty.

How much?  A major foundation has built an online calculator.
