Gass said she threw a piece of furniture at the intruder before locking herself in a bedroom, where she later escaped from a window on Memorial Drive, according to Channel 2.

Atlanta police told the news station that just three minutes earlier on the nearby Allendale Drive, someone carjacked a husband and wife at gunpoint.

No arrests have been made in either incident.
