A woman was found dead Tuesday morning in the cab of a tractor-trailer in Forest Park, police said. Beyond that, few details are known.

About 9:11 a.m., authorities received a 911 call about a person who was unresponsive inside a truck in the 100 block of Forest Parkway. Officers determined the woman was dead.

She has been identified as Nicole Darke, police said Thursday.

Police are calling the death suspicious.

“We are treating it that way just to make sure that we cover all of the bases,” Forest Park police Capt. James Delk told Channel 2 Action News.

Ira Collier, the woman’s boyfriend, told Channel 2 that he and the woman went to sleep in the truck Monday night. He said she left while he was asleep, and he awoke to someone knocking on the door, and that his girlfriend was with that person.

“She was incoherent (when she came back to the truck), so I don’t know what she did while she was gone,” Collier said.

Collier said he and the woman went back to sleep, and when Collier woke up Tuesday morning, the woman was unresponsive.

I told her, “Get up, baby, get up. She was cold.”

The GBI performed an autopsy Wednesday, police said. The results are pending.
