Video released Tuesday afternoon shows a man carjack a woman at gunpoint outside an Atlanta store.

Now police hope someone can help them identify the man in the footage, which was posted on YouTube.

According to Atlanta police, the woman stopped last Tuesday at a store in the 300 block of Moreland Avenue to buy a drink. She locked her car before going into the store.

As she returned to her car, a man approached her and asked if she had change, police spokesman Donald Hannah said. When she said no, the man demanded the keys to the vehicle, and flashed a handgun, according to police.

The woman gave the man the car keys, her wallet, iPhone and items she bought in the store, Hannah said. He told her to walk from the scene but called her back when he was not able to start the car, which had a push-start mechanism, according to police.

The woman said the man was 18-25 years old, about 5-foot-7 and 130 pounds. He had some acne on his face. He was wearing a black do-rag, a red tank top, black sweat pants and gray tennis shoes, police said.

The car has been recovered.

Authorities ask anyone with information about the man's whereabouts to call Crime Stoppers. Tipsters can remain anonymous, and be eligible for rewards of up to $2,000, by calling 404-577-8477, texting information to 274637 or visiting crimestoppersatlanta.org.
