A former UPS driver was arrested for stealing guns from a delivery truck this month, Lilburn police said Friday.

Seun Long Vang, 32, was charged with felony theft by taking and drug charges, police spokesman Thomas Bardugon said in a news release.

Police also charged Vang’s girlfriend, Chhun Nath Kheav, 26, with felony theft by receiving stolen property and drug charges.

On July 12, police responded to Main Street Guns on Killian Hill Road about an incomplete gun delivery that looked like a theft, Bardugon said. Authorities said nine of the 10 guns that were supposed to be in the package were missing.

Police and UPS investigators found that Vang left UPS with the package that morning but had another driver make the delivery.

UPS conducted its own investigation and fired Vang on July 20, according to police.

A police investigator went to Vang’s home to interview him and first spoke to Kheav, Bardugon said. She said she had the stolen guns. Police then contacted Vang, and the couple were taken into custody.

Evidence of the gun thefts and other UPS packages that Vang was supposed to deliver were found in the home, according to police. Meth and marijuana also were found.

“Mr. Vang confessed to the theft of the firearms and other thefts from UPS packages,” Bardugon said.

Vang also allegedly stole 20 cellphones, smartwatches and shoes, according to Channel 2 Action News.
