A 16-year-old boy, who attended Towers High, was killed and two men were injured in a drive-by shooting in DeKalb County late Monday night, officials said.
According to a police report obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, officers responded about 9:30 p.m. to a home in the 3800 block of Redan Road and followed a blood trail to the kitchen.
A 20-year-old man who had been shot in the right foot and left arm was holding a shirt over a wound to the teen’s neck, police said.
The teen, identified by the DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s Office as Chris Moore, was conscious but could not hold a conversation, according to the report.
He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

As officers checked the rear of the home Monday night, a third victim arrived on the scene with minor injuries, DeKalb police spokeswoman Shiera Campbell said. The victim, described by Campbell as a 28-year-old man, left after the shooting. He was treated on the scene.
The victims told police they were in the front of the house when someone started shooting from the street. The teen and the 20-year-old crawled to the kitchen.
Witnesses told officers a vehicle was seen speeding away from Redan Road toward Holcombe Road. However, they could not provide a description of the vehicle, police said.
The 20-year-old was taken to the hospital in stable condition, Campbell said.
