One person is injured and another is in police custody after a shooting Tuesday night in Cobb County, police said.

Police responded to the 6900 block of Shenandoah Trail in Austell about 8 p.m., police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce said.

The person who was shot was taken to a nearby hospital, but details on the condition were not immediately available.

Randy Heard, 23, was arrested on multiple charges, including two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of criminal damage, one count of criminal trespassing and one count of possession of a firearm during a crime, Pierce said.
