Firefighters in Sandy Springs were working to control a fire at the local gun range Sunday afternoon.

Sandy Springs spokeswoman Sharon Kraun said the fire department put the fire out and moderate damage was sustained to the building but no injuries were reported.

"Although the fire is still under investigation, it appears to be accidental in nature," Kraun said. "The areas where the gun and ammo were stored at the facility did not experience fire damage, only slight smoke damage."

The Sandy Springs Gun Club and Range is located in the 8,000 block of Roswell Road.
