Sandy Springs police are looking at robbery as a possible motive in a double shooting that killed a woman and critically injured a man.

“Detectives … are continuing to investigate several credible leads,” Sandy Springs police Capt. Mike Lindstrom said Monday in an emailed statement.

Just before 3 a.m. Friday, officers responded to a 911 report of a person shot in the 100 block of North River Drive. Cierra Ford, 25, was found dead at the scene. Tyrique Lobban, 21, was taken to North Fulton Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

He was “in critical but stable condition,” Lindstrom said.

No one has been arrested in connection with the double shooting.
