A group of men in three separate cars robbed and ransacked a high-end men’s boutique April 6 in Buckhead, police said.

It took a crew of seven people eight minutes to steal between $50,000 to $100,000 in designer clothing from Buckhead’s Moda404 Men’s Boutique, according to a police report.

Owner Lee Sterling Brockwell roughly estimated that $50,000 to $100,000 in men’s clothing was stolen from the store, which is located in the Buckhead Commons shopping center at 3145 Peachtree Road in Atlanta.

A Dodge Challenger parked near the boutique’s front doors at 8:20 p.m. and a man entered the store.

A short time later, a silver Chevrolet HHR wagon and a silver or gray Ford Fusion backed into parking spaces near the boutique, but no one got out.

The driver of the Dodge walked around the boutique as if he was shopping, asking the employee several questions about Rockstar brand jeans and asked if he could get “a deal” on a pair. He made a phone call, speaking quietly as if he didn’t want the employee to hear him talking about the boutique’s merchandise, the employee told police.

Another man, who police describe as a regular customer as opposed to a robbery suspect, walked in and started looking around.

After telling the employee he needed to go to a local bank to get money for his purchases, the Dodge driver walked toward the door and a group of six men got out of the two parked cars in the parking lot and waited for the Dodge driver to walk out.

At 8:27 p.m., a man with a silver handgun threatened the store employee and the other customer, telling them to lie down on the floor.

The rest of the men grabbed handfuls of designer clothing off of the various racks and shelves inside the store and loaded the stolen clothing into the Chevrolet HHR and Ford Fusion and drove out of the parking lot.

Anyone with information about this case should call Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta at 404 577-TIPS (8477).
