A manager of a southwest Atlanta nightclub was shot and killed and two other people were injured in the shooting early Friday in the 1000 block of Metropolitan Parkway, an Atlanta police spokeswoman said.

One of the people injured was a security guard working at the club, Lacura Bar and Bistro.

Both the manager and guard were trying to escort someone out of the club following an altercation, when the person opened fire just before 3 a.m., according to Channel 2 Action News.

People packed the club’s parking lot, and several witnesses helped police identify a person of interest, who officers are questioning, Atlanta police Capt. Ben McGee said.

The victims’ loved ones are still on the scene as investigators look for clues as to what happened.

The injured victims were transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition.

No other details were released.
