The Woodstock mother charged by Cherokee County authorities in the death of her 24-day-old girl has been found.

Alyssa Kincaid was found by a deputy during a traffic stop in Canton, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. Jay Baker said Tuesday night.

Ciara Campbell died at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta on Sunday, three days after sheriff’s deputies were summoned to her family’s Woodstock home for a “child not breathing” call.

Authorities have said “multiple injuries” were discovered on the child, but have not disclosed specifics.

Nicholas Campbell, the 26-year-old boyfriend of Ciara’s mother, was arrested Friday on charges including four counts apiece of first-degree cruelty, aggravated assault and aggravated battery.

On Tuesday, Baker announced that warrants had also been taken out charging Kincaid, 24, in connection with the case.

Kincaid is charged with second-degree child cruelty, and is alleged to have “allowed” the abuse that resulted in her daughter’s death — but she hadn’t been seen since Sunday at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Baker said.

Campbell, who is not Ciara's biological father, was denied bond Monday. An autopsy was expected to be completed Tuesday.
