Atlanta police released a sketch of a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman in the hopes the public can help identify him.

The woman flagged down officers in the area of University Avenue and Pryor Road about 2:30 a.m. Oct. 5, Atlanta police Sgt. John Chafee said.

The woman told police she had been sexually assaulted by a short man with a low haircut, pockmarks on his face and a thick build.

He is believed to frequent the Thomasville Heights area, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers Atlanta by calling 404-577-8477, texting information to 274637 or visiting crimestoppersatlanta.org. Tipsters can remain anonymous and be eligible for rewards of up to $2,000.
