A man accused of shooting and killing one man and critically injuring another in front of two children is in the DeKalb County jail.
Jaren Sullivan, the father of one of the children, is being held there on one count of murder and two counts of aggravated assault, according to online jail records.
The shooting, which happened Tuesday in the 1300 block of Kimlie Lane, began with an argument between Sullivan and the new boyfriend of the mother, according to Channel 2 Action News.

The boyfriend was shot in a car and died, the television station reported. The mother’s brother tried to break up the fight and was also shot. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
As the mother, the men who were shot and the two children tried to get away, Sullivan allegedly reloaded and fired at them, according to Channel 2. The two children who witnessed the shooting are 1 year and 3 years old, the television station reported.
Sullivan, 27, of Decatur, later surrendered, DeKalb police spokesman Maj. Stephen Fore said.
