Cody Allen Booth took his 3-month-old daughter to the pediatrician Friday about a low grade fever and congestion.
But what started as a check-up turned into an investigation of child abuse allegedly by the girl’s father.

According to Coweta County officials, doctors found two fractured ribs on the child who was taken to Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital, spokesman Lt. James Yarborough said. There, it was discovered the baby had fractured skull, arm, collarbone and ribs injuries that were “non-accidental,” he said.
Booth, 31, of Sharpsburg told authorities for the past two to three weeks he had allegedly abused the girl.
The child remains in the hospital. Her conditon was not given.
Booth was charged with aggravated battery. His wife has not been charged.
