A woman who was shot in the head on the day after Christmas while delivering pizza is expected to recover, the Macon Telegraph reported.

“They’re looking for her to make a full recovery,” Warren Rouse said about his daughter Brooklyn, 21.

On the job for just two weeks, Rouse was shot outside a house in the Bloomfield neighborhood, the newspaper reported. She was supposed to have the day off but got called in to work for Papa John’s Pizza.

Rouse recognizes family members and is hearing and speaking, but her father said she jumbles some words, according to the report.
