Authorities are investigating a triple homicide in Savannah.

Three people are dead and a person of interest is in police custody after a shooting in Savannah early Monday, authorities said.

Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan police are investigating the incident as a triple homicide, according to a news release from the department.

Officers responded to the shooting about 1:15 a.m. in the 1100 block of East 31st Street.

When they arrived, they found Shayla Curtis, 18, William Mullins, 24, and Courtney German, 31, dead, police said.

“The actual circumstances leading up to the shooting are still under investigation,” officials said in the release. “Investigators do not believe this is a random shooting.”

The person of interest, who has not yet been identified, was arrested in Jasper County, S.C., on unrelated charges.
