A married Sandy Springs couple spent a night in jail after police seized drug-laced desserts in their home, police said.

Charles Sullivan Sitero, 40, and Lillian E. Sitero, 35, were arrested and charged with violations of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act when police found more than 3 pounds of marijuana, butane hash oil and THC-laced brownies, cookies and gummy candies in the couple’s home, police said.

Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the active chemical in cannabis, commonly known as marijuana, and is one of the oldest hallucinogenic drugs known.

Police said an anonymous tip led them to the Sitero couple’s home. Detectives found a storage unit the couple was using to store their assets and drug distribution equipment on Mount Vernon Highway in Sandy Springs.
