Officials have identified the decomposed bodies that were found Saturday in a car at a southwest Atlanta apartment complex.

The bodies of Charles Veasey, 52, and Debra Martin, 59, both of Atlanta, were discovered in a sedan in the 3300 block of Fairburn Road, according to the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office.

The causes of death for both are pending as police continue to investigate, spokesman Lisa Bender said Friday.

An apartment manager discovered the bodies in the back seat of the car, Channel 2 Action News reported.

It’s not clear how long they had been there. Witnesses told police the car had been at that location for about two weeks.

There were no obvious signs of trauma on either body, police said.

Neighbors are shaken up after two people were found dead in a car.
