College student sexually assaulted during evening jog, police say

The Lumpkin County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man accused of sexually assaulting a University of North Georgia student.

Authorities are searching for a man accused of sexually assaulting a University of North Georgia student while she was on her evening run.

The assault occurred between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Wednesday along the Lake Zwerner reservoir trail in Dahlonega, Lumpkin County sheriff’s Lt. Chris Pfrogner said.

The 19-year-old victim described the man as having a beard with short brown hair who looked between ages 20 and 40. He was also wearing a dark blue or black shirt.
