A Woodstock man was in the Fulton County jail Tuesday after three separate families accused him of improper touching at a Target store in Roswell.

The alleged attacks happened about 5:30 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Super Target on Woodstock Road.

Jacob Shepherd is facing felony child molestation and sexual battery charges after police said he groped a 16-year-old, a 14-year-old and a 9-year-old.

The 23-year-old worked next door and would visit the Super Target on his breaks, Channel 2 Action News reported.

All of the children immediately told their parents what happened, Roswell police spokeswoman Officer Lisa Holland told Channel 2.

Holland commends the kids for their quick thinking and bravery in speaking up.

“Any time a stranger grabs you inappropriately, a lot of times people freeze, especially kids,” Holland told the station. “They can be very scared and they’re not gonna say anything.”

A spokeswoman for Target issued a statement:

“At Target, our guests are at the center of everything we do, and our commitment to creating a safe and secure shopping environment in our stores is unwavering. As a part of this commitment to safety, we have robust procedures, policies and trainings in place to ensure that our stores are safe places to shop and work. As soon as this incident was brought to our attention, we immediately partnered with local law enforcement,” Erika Winkels said.
