A three-car crash sent four people the hospital Thursday evening, and they’re all in stable condition, authorities said.

The wreck took place at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Burbank Drive, Atlanta Fire Rescue said in a tweet. The intersection remains closed, and it’s unknown when it will reopen.

One of the vehicles, which had two people inside, overturned during the wreck, Atlanta Fire Sgt. Cortez Stafford told AJC.com.

One of the other vehicles involved ended up entrapping two people, who had to be extricated by firefighters, he said. One of the two people was listed as in critical condition by first responders, but Atlanta police said the person is now stable at Grady Memorial Hospital.

The third car only had a driver inside, and that person did not need to go to the hospital, Cortez said.

The cause of the wreck is being investigated by Atlanta police.
