Three men face felony charges after authorities allege they participated in a staged slip-and-fall accident ring in South Georgia to claim fraudulent insurance claims, the state insurance commissioner’s office said in a release.

Germain Baynard, 20, Ryan Law, 21, and Demetrius Lee, 22, all of Thomasville, allegedly staged the accidents at businesses in Brooks, Colquitt and Thomas counties, said Glenn Allen, state insurance commissioner spokesman.

Authorities are still searching for Keronda Bell, 46, of Thomasville, who investigators identified as the ring leader, Allen said. Bell is believed to have planned the slip-and-fall accidents and filled fraudulent claims.

"Individuals who feel that they are above the law and file a false insurance claim will be arrested and prosecuted,” State Insurance Commissioner Ralph Hudgens said in a statement.

Baynard, Law, and Lee were booked into the Thomas County Jail, but have been released on bond.
