City officials were mum Monday on the possible cause of a southeast Atlanta crash that left four firefighters injured.

The Atlanta fire department’s Engine 2 was responding to a structure fire Monday around 9:15 a.m. when it left the roadway and collided with a tree near the intersection of Jonesboro and McWilliams roads. A news release issued Monday afternoon by the city’s communications office said the four firefighters injured in the crash were in “good condition” and in the company of their families.

Their injuries were considered non-life threatening.

“No further information on the cause of the accident is available until the accident investigation team completes their analysis,” the news release said.
