A Carrollton lawyer was arrested earlier this month and charged with forgery and theft by taking after allegedly converting funds from a trust fund to his own use, and sheriff’s investigators are still looking for additional victims.

Carroll County sheriff’s Capt. Jeff Richards told Channel 2 Action News that attorney Robert B. Eddleman’s arrest stemmed from an ongoing investigation by the sheriff’s office and the GBI.

Richards said that the investigation had “produced more than one victim,” and that more victims were expected to surface where false documents were filed and funds diverted from Eddleman’s trust account.

People who believe they are victims are asked to call sheriff’s Investigator Mike Wilson at 770-830-5916.
