Crews work Friday March 31, 2017, on the portion of I-85 that collapsed during the Thursday evening rush hour.

UPDATE: The Braves released the following statement Friday morning:

“We look forward to hosting our A-List Members tonight for the first exhibition game at SunTrust Park. Due to the bridge incident on I-85 in Atlanta, we encourage our fans to plan before they leave for the game. Traffic patterns in Atlanta will be adjusted for everyone, so please listen to local authorities as they direct you around the metro area. Also, we encourage all fans to purchase their parking before they leave today at braves.com/parking and trust Waze to get you directly to your parking lot.”

The team directed fans to http://m.mlb.com/braves/tickets/info/exhibition-game  for more information.

Original story: The head of Cobb transportation said Thursday there were no changes to the county's traffic plan ahead of the Atlanta Braves' exhibition game against the New York Yankees Friday at SunTrust Park as a result of the I-85 bridge collapse.

“We’ll have to wait until we get a further assessment from GDOT,” Wilgus said, offering to “help in any way we can.”

The Braves did not address the game in a supportive tweet to the Atlanta Fire Department.

“We are keeping everyone affected by the fire in our thoughts & are grateful to @ATLFireRescue & all first responders for all that they do,” it read.
