A car hauler was engulfed in flames Monday afternoon, causing authorities to shut down I-75 North in Henry County for hours.

The fire also spread to some nearby woods, causing further issues, according to NewsChopper 2. The incident took place near Ga. 155.

All travel lanes reopened by 7:30 p.m., according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center. However, heavy delays linger, so the Traffic Center recommends using Ga. 42 as an alternate.

When the fire was still burning, southbound travel was also affected as onlookers slowed down to gawk at the flames, according to NewsChopper 2. It’s unclear if anyone was injured during the incident.

No other information on the fire has been released.
