No tuxedos are necessary to “Party with the Penguins” this weekend at Georgia Aquarium.

The event to recognize Penguin Awareness Day – which was Jan. 20 – will take place Saturday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. in the aquarium’s Arctic Ballroom. The “party” was rescheduled from Jan. 23 due to the inclement weather.

A free screening of “Penguins of Madagascar” will preview the festivities at 9:30 a.m. Beginning at 11 a.m., guests can partake in a Q&A session with a penguin keeper, play penguin-related games (“Spot the Penguins,” “All About Eggs”) and perhaps meet one of the 40 African penguins that reside at Georgia Aquarium.

Attendees will also be introduced to the Waddlesworths, the new animated “spokespenguins” for the aquarium, as well as mascot George Waddlesworth.

The event is free for Georgia Aquarium annual pass members and open to all guests with the purchase of an Aquarium general admission ticket.
