Looking for a new job this summer? These companies with Atlanta-area locations are adding new employees this July, with positions ranging from health care workers to work-at-home customer service associates.

Aldi

Aldi, the German grocery chain that's known for its low prices, has more than 100 stores in Georgia, including more than 20 in metro Atlanta.

The chain is now hiring associates at its Lilburn and Lawrenceville locations, and pay starts at $11.50 an hour. If you're interested, you can apply at a hiring event at 1225 Scenic Highway, Lawrenceville, on July 6 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Suwanee, Cumming and Duluth stores are also hiring store associates, shift managers and manager trainees. Shift managers make $16 per manager hour worked, and manager trainees make $22 an hour.

A hiring event for these jobs will be held at 1165 Peachtree Industrial Blvd. in Suwanee on July 10 from 4-7 p.m.

J.C. Penney

As the retailer prepares to gear up for the back-to-school rush, it's adding 350 employees at its metro Atlanta stores. It's looking to hire people for customer service and support jobs, as well as cashiers, specialists, beauty consultants, stylists and other positions.

DeKalb Medical

The not-for-profit health system has three hospital campuses in Dekalb County that currently have 269 job openings. Although many are directly related to health care, there are also openings for catering associates, gift shop associates, security officers and group exercise instructors.

Amazon

Amazon is planning to add 5,000 new part-time work-from-home jobs over the next year. The push is part of Amazon's Virtual Customer Service Program, which lets employees provide customer service support to customers while working from home.

The jobs are only available in certain states, including Georgia, and the positions pay $10 per hour. In addition, if you work more than 20 hours a week, you'll be eligible to receive benefits. To apply online, click here. Currently, full-time employees are also needed.
