Several of Georgia’s top Fortune 500 companies and law firms received perfect scores on the Human Rights Campaign’s annual equality index.
Coca-Cola, The Home Depot, Delta Air Lines, Alston & Bird and InterContinental Hotels Group, whose North American headquarters is in Dunwoody, have been lauded by the LGBTQ civil rights organization for inclusive corporate policies and practices for gay, lesbian and transgender workers.
“Even in the face of relentless attempts to undermine equality, America’s leading companies and law firms remain steadfast and committed to supporting and defending the rights and dignity of LGBTQ people,” HRC President Chad Griffin said Monday in a release.
“The unprecedented expansion of inclusive workplaces across the country and around the globe not only reflects our progress, it helps drive it,” he said.
Other Georgia companies with perfect scores include First Data Corp., SunTrust Banks, NCR Corp., Southern Company, Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton, King & Spalding, Sutherland Asbill & Brennan, Troutman Sanders and UPS.
